Last Sunday, we honored Dale and Melanie after almost 16 years of preaching at Spring Meadows. Both of Dale and Melanie’s sons spoke as well as several elders and church staff all giving appreciation and thanks for the last fifteen plus years of serving our congregation in so many ways. Gifts, cards and funny SOCKS were presented to Dale (and Melanie). If you know Dale, you know that socks are kind of his thing! We shared a fellowship meal and celebratory cake afterward. It was an amazing day!
Dale and Melanie will still be SMCOC members, but Dale will be focusing the majority of his time on The Jenkins Institute, the ministry he shares with his brother, Jeff. Through The Jenkins Institute, they seek to train and encourage other ministers. We are excited for Dale to have the flexibility he needs to do even more of God’s work through The Jenkins’s Institute. We know his work will bless many just as his work at Spring Meadows has.
Information on our new full-time minister will be available soon. In the meantime, Dan Winkler, our associate minister will be filling this role.
